Description
Author Heather Hagan Bessler researched antique crazy quilts at the Porter County Museum and documented not just the quilts but also their tremendous variety of hand embroidered stitches and stitch combinations which numbered more than 200. Heather then wrote instructions, with hand drawn and easy to follow illustrations, so that anyone can recreate these beautiful stitches. She also includes her own hand sewn replicas of these stitches to help illustrate the final appearance. This is a fine addition to the library of any quilter or embroiderer who would like to know more about stitches that were popular nearly a century ago and still are today.
